The weather has been sub-zero around here, so I wore this sweater for a couple days in a row.    The yarn I used was Lett-Lopi (Icelandic Lopi Lite).  I’d tell you more about the ball band, but I don’t read Icelandic.  I did go very cheap on the yarn (less than $5 for a 50g ball), but I had to order 14 balls.   This left the sweater a bit scratchy, but I don’t mind the extra layer when it is this cold. I made the small, and still had a bunch of yarn left over.  I blame this on my previous pesudo-continental knitting technique, which left my gauge a little long at times.

I really like the high wasitline and the shape of the sweater, but I’ve already got 3 “are you trying to hide a prenancy in that sweater?” cracks.  Solution?  I need to knit more high-waistline long sweaters. They are great for hiding an unintended plumber’s crack too.
Moving on to two projects: de-coding a knitted hood I made 3 years ago with a weird curvy short-row technique, and testing some random knitting theories.  I’ll explain more about these later.  I also need to work on my finished object archives.  One reason why I’ve joined this blogitty world is to compare thoughts or lend help on projects I’ve had the chance to experience.
